There's no place like home for Dove Creek, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Ouray Trojans on Thursday as they made off with  a  3-0 win. The Bulldogs not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since November 11, 2024 (when they won  3-0).
 While Dove Creek won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22,  25-7.
 Hadley Hatfield paced Dove Creek's offense, picking up eight kills. Hatfield got some help from  Kaybree Smith and her 19 assists. Hatfield was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with three aces.
Dove Creek's victory  ended  a  four-match drought at home  and  bumped them up to 3-14. As for Ouray, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the  loss, which was their sixth straight  on the road.
 Looking ahead, Dove Creek will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Nucla  at 6:00  p.m. As for Ouray, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  defeat against Ignacio on the 18th.
