Basketball Recap: Woodland Takes a Loss

Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Hiram Hornets, falling 65-6. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 77-22 back in December of 2024.

Hiram got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Crawford out in front who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten boards. Crawford is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. T'Nasia Nance was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine steals.

Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Hiram, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Woodland will face off against Allatoona at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hiram, they will challenge Cedartown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
