Softball Recap: Garber Comes Up Short

Freeland hit Garber with a four-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Dukes fell 8-3 to the Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 on Tuesday.

Ava Wagner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Garber and nudges their season record down to 6-2. As for Freeland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Garber will be playing at home against Clio at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Freeland, they will head out to face off against Lake Fenton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
