Basketball Recap: Brazosport Triumphs

Brazosport won the last time they faced Sweeny, and Deja El-Amin did her part to make sure it happened again. The Brazosport Exporters were the clear victor by a 73-51 margin over the Sweeny Bulldogs on Friday thanks in part to El-Amin, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 22 rebounds. The contest was her eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Kailyn Wiley was another key player, putting up nine points and six steals. Those six steals gave her a new career-high.

Brazosport's record now sits at 14-12. As for Sweeny, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Brazosport didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-46 victory against El Campo on the 28th. As for Sweeny, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-23 defeat against Columbia on the 28th.
