Softball Recap: Carmel Victorious

St. Laurence typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Carmel proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings, sneaking past 3-1. That's two games straight that the Corsairs have won by exactly two runs.

Carmel let Grace Brown and Grace King run wild. Brown went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while King went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Carmel and bumps their season record up to 17-9. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for St. Laurence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-7.

As of now, neither Carmel nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
