Basketball Recap: Seven Wheeler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Towson over Milford Mill Academy

Towson lost against Milford Mill Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Towson Generals took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Milford Mill Academy Millers. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Millers are ranked 89th).

Towson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Seven Wheeler, who went 7 for 12 en route to 19 points. Wheeler has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Jeremiah Harris was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

Towson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Milford Mill Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

Towson will square off against Dundalk at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Towson is facing Dundalk at the right time seeing as Dundalk is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Milford Mill Academy, they will take on Franklin on Friday.
