Volleyball Game Preview: Skyridge Falcons vs. Lehi Pioneers

The Skyridge Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the Lehi Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Skyridge turned things around against American Fork on Thursday. They came out on top against the Cavemen by a score of 3-1.

Skyridge had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-23.

Lone Peak came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Lehi, but Ty Reynolds wouldn't allow it. The Pioneers blew past the Knights 3-0 on Thursday for which the team can thank Reynolds, who had 11 digs and two aces. He has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 36 times he's played.

While Lehi might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Lone Peak scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 26-24.

Skyridge's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-10. As for Lehi, their record is now 12-2.
