Basketball Game Preview: Manual Rams vs. Springfield Southeast Spartans

The Manual Rams will head out to take on the Springfield Southeast Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Manual and 11 for Springfield Southeast.

On Saturday, Manual had to suffer through a 85-55 loss at the hands of Fishers. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 88th in Illinois, while the Tigers are ranked first in Indiana).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 58-22, which was the final score in Springfield Southeast's tilt against Belleville West on Saturday.

Springfield Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 3-23. As for Manual, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Manual strolled past Springfield Southeast in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 71-53. Will Manual repeat their success, or does Springfield Southeast have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
