Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Pirates vs. Lehman Catholic Cavaliers

Riverside hasn't had much luck against Lehman Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Riverside Pirates will square off against the Lehman Catholic Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Riverside took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 50-49 win over Fairlawn. The victory was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Lehman Catholic waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 52-42 win over the Bees.

Riverside's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for Lehman Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.

Things could have been worse for Riverside, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-35 loss to Lehman Catholic in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Riverside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
