Softball Recap: Gibraltar Comes Up Short

Gibraltar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-2 to the Sevastopol Pioneers. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

Courtney Foy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Abby Jarosh also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Gibraltar's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sevastopol, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Coming up, Gibraltar will face off against Algoma at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sevastopol, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-13 victory against St. Mary's Springs on the 12th.
