Baseball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield fell victim to Garrett and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Railroaders. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Railroaders from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Fairfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Stoltzfus, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Fairfield's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Garrett, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fairfield will face off against rival Lakeland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Garrett is set to take on their familiar foe Angola at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
