Basketball Recap: Archbishop Hoban Skates Past Harvey with Ease

Archbishop Hoban put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Harvey Red Raiders, posting an 89-53 win.

Harvey's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Goines, who shot 83% from the field on his way to 12 points and six boards. Goines has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 54% every time he's hit the court this season. Eryck McClain also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Archbishop Hoban's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Harvey, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Archbishop Hoban will be home for the holidays to greet Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Blue Devils have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Harvey, they are taking a road trip to take on Orange at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Raiders' defense better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 54.5 points per game this season.
