Basketball Game Preview: Austin Mustangs vs. Sharpstown Apollos

The Austin Mustangs will take on the Sharpstown Apollos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Wednesday, Austin lost to Waltrip on the road by a 76-57 margin.

Meanwhile, Sharpstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-34 heartbreaker at the hands of Westbury.

Austin dropped their record down to 11-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Sharpstown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.

Austin beat Sharpstown 50-38 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will Austin repeat their success, or does Sharpstown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
