Baseball Recap: Orting Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Orting had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They didn't even let the Eatonville Cruisers on the board, marking their second-straight 10-0 shutout. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 10-0 win on Wednesday.

The result came thanks to Gabe Schrader's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Orting let Lucas Dickson and Jayden Schoenbachler run wild. Dickson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Schoenbachler went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave Dickson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Graysen Pedersen, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Orting's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Eatonville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.
