If Putnam wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lyman Memorial, they should've done a better job of containing Kevin Botticello. The Lyman Memorial Bulldogs walked away with a 51-40 victory over the Putnam Clippers on Wednesday thanks to Botticello, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in each of the last 25 games he's played dating back to last season.

Another player making a difference was Conor Hawkins, who posted ten points. What's more, he also posted four rebounds, the most he's had since back in January.

The win made it two in a row for Lyman Memorial and bumps their season record up to 3-19. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 6-14 Putnam and 6-13 Putnam. As for Putnam, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Looking ahead, Lyman Memorial is taking a road trip to challenge Wheeler at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Putnam does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
