Softball Recap: Turkeyfoot Valley Area Takes a Loss

Turkeyfoot Valley Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 10-7 to the Blacklick Valley Vikings. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Maleigha Younkin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three stolen bases, and five RBI while going 4-for-4. Those home runs marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kya King, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Turkeyfoot Valley Area's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Blacklick Valley, their victory ended a 12-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.

Turkeyfoot Valley Area didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-3 win against Clay-Battelle on the 24th. As for Blacklick Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Glendale on the 24th.
