Basketball Recap: MacArthur Generals vs. Aldine Mustangs
MacArthur was the 84-44 winner over Aldine when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The MacArthur Generals received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 64-48 to the Aldine Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 963rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 404th).
Aldine had a senior duo take command as Jorge Castro went 9 of 14 en route to 20 points along with five boards and five steals and Joshua Green went 7 of 12 on his way to 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Castro has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nehemiah Dasent, who posted 12 points and three steals.
MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Aldine, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.
