Basketball Recap: Norborne Takes a Loss

If Norborne was riding high fresh off their 53-28 takedown of Keytesville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Norborne Pirates took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wellsville-Middletown Tigers on Monday. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Norborne has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Wellsville-Middletown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norborne will face off against Braymer at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Wellsville-Middletown has already played their next contest (against Elsberry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
