Recap: Fairwinds Christian Knights vs. Faith Baptist School Falcons
After a string of four wins, the Fairwinds Christian Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 64-51 defeat to Faith Baptist School. Fairwinds Christian lost against Faith Baptist School in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 37-30 score last time.
Fairwinds Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Solomon Mccloud HS, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds, and Jaiden Rajis who scored seven points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him.
Faith Baptist School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Devin Culbertson led the charge by scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Culbertson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Miller, who scored 18 points along with seven steals.
Fairwinds Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Faith Baptist School, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairwinds Christian will take on Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Faith Baptist School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Seaside Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
