Baseball Recap: Plymouth Takes a Loss

Wynford hit Plymouth with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Big Red lost 9-1 to the Royals. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Big Red have suffered since April 9th.

Plymouth saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jarrett Burrer, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Plymouth's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Wynford, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plymouth will host Ridgemont at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wynford, they will be playing at home against Mohawk at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Royals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
