Football Recap: Hazelwood West Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Hazelwood West kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 45-0 loss at the hands of the Hazelwood East Spartans. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Hazelwood West and Hazelwood East will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wildcats will take on rival Webster Groves at 6:00 p.m. on September 5. Meanwhile, Hazelwood East is set to challenge their familiar foe Parkway Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
