Softball Recap: Taylorville Tornadoes vs. Springfield Senators
Taylorville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Springfield Senators. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tornadoes of the 5-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.
Taylorville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Harden, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another was Grace Rogers, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
