Basketball Recap: Palmer Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palmer can now relate to. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mexia Black Cats on Friday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Black Cats earlier this season, when they won 48-36.

Palmer's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Mexia, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 25-11 record this season.

Palmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mexia, they will square off against Hitchcock at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hitchcock will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Mexia surely won't give up without a fight.
