Basketball Recap: Tristan Jackson Key Part of a Team Effort in Hawks Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carver, Hardaway was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They managed a 59-53 victory over the Shaw Raiders. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hardaway to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tristan Jackson, who posted 14 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of A'Nazhe Purnell, who earned 14 points.

Despite the loss, Shaw still got an impressive performance from Zack Denson, who scored 13 points.

Hardaway's record now sits at 5-11. As for Shaw, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Hardaway has already played their next match, a 54-23 loss against Sumter County on the 14th. As for Shaw, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-40 win against Kendrick on the 14th.
