Soccer Recap: Maspeth Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The Baccalaureate School for Global Education, Maspeth was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Queens Teaching Tigers a 9-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what Maspeth needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

The victory got Maspeth back to even at 2-2. As for Queens Teaching, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Maspeth is set to face off against their familiar foe The Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Queens Teaching will square off against rival Architecture, Engineering and Construction at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
