Baseball Recap: Brentsville District Victorious

Brentsville District proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 19) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Fauquier Falcons. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Aaron Caughlin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Brentsville District's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Search, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Those two runs gave Search a new career-high.

Brentsville District's record now sits at 9-5. As for Fauquier, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Brentsville District wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-2 win against Handley on the 29th. As for Fauquier, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-3 defeat against Sherando on the 29th.
