Basketball Recap: Riverside Christian Comes Up Short

Riverside Christian lost against Aucilla Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Riverside Christian Wranglers had to suffer through a 53-18 loss at the hands of the Aucilla Christian Warriors. The Wranglers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-10.

Aucilla Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kamrynn Johnson, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 17 points and six steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Avery Emerick, who posted seven points in addition to 13 boards and seven assists.

Riverside Christian dropped their record down to 3-13 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Aucilla Christian, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Riverside Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northside Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Aucilla Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Jefferson County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
