Basketball Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

Westwood lost against Jupiter back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Westwood Panthers took a hard 52-34 fall against the Jupiter Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Warriors are ranked 53rd).

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Jupiter, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Westwood won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pine at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jupiter, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against South Fork at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. South Fork will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Jupiter surely won't give up without a fight.
