Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Lynx vs. Le Mars Bulldogs

The Lincoln Lynx will head out on the road to face off against the Le Mars Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Sioux City North hit Lincoln with a five-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lynx took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stars. The Lynx have struggled against the Stars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Le Mars was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to Sergeant Bluff-Luton.

Le Mars' loss dropped their record down to 2-26. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-27.

Everything went Lincoln's way against Le Mars in their previous matchup back in June, as Lincoln made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lynx since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
