Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, North Davidson couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Oak Grove Grizzlies by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Black Knights' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Abigail Brown made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs.

North Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Oak Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

North Davidson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Grove, they will take on Rockingham County on Friday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 23rd straight victory, something the Grizzlies surely won't give up without a fight.
