Baseball Recap: Bergenfield Comes Up Short

Bergenfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 5-1 to the NV - Old Tappan Golden Knights. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by exactly four runs.

Bergenfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for NV - Old Tappan, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Bergenfield will face off against Cliffside Park at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for NV - Old Tappan, they will take on Bergen Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Golden Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
