Clinton and Fairmont are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2022, but likely not for long. The Dark Horses will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Clinton lost 17-1 to East Bladen on Monday.

Clinton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracin Bass, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Lumberton hit Fairmont with a six-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Golden Tornadoes fell 12-7 to the Pirates. The Golden Tornadoes haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Fairmont's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Clinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

Clinton suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Fairmont when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Dark Horses avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
