Soccer Game Preview: Tift County vs. Lowndes

The Tift County Blue Devils will face off against the Lowndes Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tift County will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Tift County's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Berrien 3-0. Tift County's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Meanwhile, Lowndes fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Richmond Hill on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, Lowndes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Richmond Hill are ranked 44th).

Tift County's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Lowndes, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7-1.
