Football Game Preview: Monroeville Eagles vs. Crestview Cougars

The Monroeville Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Crestview Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Monroeville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Monroeville's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Plymouth 55-0. Considering the Eagles have won five games by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Crestview unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They had to suffer through a 34-0 loss at the hands of Western Reserve. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Cougars haven't been shut out since back in August.

Monroeville's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Crestview, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Monroeville strolled past Crestview in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a score of 31-16. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
