Basketball Recap: Christian Fellowship Takes a Loss

Christian Fellowship was the 68-45 winner over Chamois when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Christian Fellowship fell just short of the Chamois Pirates by a score of 49-46 on Thursday. The contest marked Christian Fellowship's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Christian Fellowship still got an impressive performance from Luke Davis, who went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points along with seven boards and three steals. Davis is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ean Cornell, who posted six points and five rebounds.

The loss snapped Christian Fellowship's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-3 record. As for Chamois, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Fellowship won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wright City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chamois, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Tuscumbia at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
