Softball Recap: Ocean Lakes Gets the Win

Ocean Lakes came out on top against Deep Creek on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Dolphins had just enough and edged out the Hornets 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dolphins have posted since May 22, 2024.

Ocean Lakes' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Deep Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Coming up, Ocean Lakes will take on Princess Anne at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Deep Creek, they will square off against Great Bridge at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
