Volleyball Game Preview: Mt. Hope Huskies vs. North Providence Cougars

Mt. Hope has won four straight games at home, while North Providence has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Huskies will welcome the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Mt. Hope made easy work of St. Raphael Academy and carried off a 3-0 win. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only North Providence walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Falcons on Saturday.

While North Providence won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 25-23.

North Providence has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Mt. Hope, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.

Everything went Mt. Hope's way against North Providence in their previous matchup back in May, as Mt. Hope made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
