Basketball Recap: Seminary Takes a Loss

Seminary lost against Jefferson Davis County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Seminary Bulldogs were beaten by the Jefferson Davis County Jaguars 76-28. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Jaguars are ranked 74th).

Seminary has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Jefferson Davis County, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Hazlehurst the next time they take the court. Seminary will host Hazlehurst at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Jefferson Davis County will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th.
