Basketball Recap: Grand Rapids Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks came up short against the Fergus Falls Otters and fell 71-59. While losing is never fun, the Thunderhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Otters are ranked 92nd).

Grand Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Fergus Falls, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand Rapids will face off against Duluth East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Duluth East knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Grand Rapids likes a good challenge. As for Fergus Falls, they are taking a road trip to face off against Brainerd at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Brainerd's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
