Baseball Game Preview: Williamson Warriors vs. Haverling Rams

The Williamson Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Haverling Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamson is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Williamson lost 9-2 to Northeast Bradford on Thursday.

Williamson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Silvernail, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Maddox Hartman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Haverling and Dansville have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Rams blew past the Mustangs 18-1. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 14 runs or more this season.

Gage Thomas made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because Haverling is undefeated when he allows at most one hit, but 2-3 otherwise. Thomas was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dayton Orlowske, who went 2-for-3 with seven RBI, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Eric Carney-Hendrix was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Haverling always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .711. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Williamson's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Haverling, their record now sits at 5-3.
