Football Game Preview: Iowa Colony Pioneers vs. Terry Rangers

The Iowa Colony Pioneers will take on the Terry Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Iowa Colony's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Terry has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Iowa Colony's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Fort Bend Marshall with a sharp 21-0 win. Considering the Pioneers have won seven matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Carson White and Kaeden Johnson. White had a great game and threw for 212 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes. Meanwhile, Johnson did his best for the losing side, rushing for 105 yards on only 12 carries.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Terry's offense. They had to suffer through a 70-0 loss at the hands of Randle. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 658th, while the Lions are ranked eighth).

Iowa Colony's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Terry, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

It's a different story for Terry, though, as they've been averaging only 217.4 total yards. Will Iowa Colony be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Rangers flip the script?
