Soccer Game Preview: Taft vs. Royal

The Taft Toreadors and the Royal Highlanders will round out the year against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Taft's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Taft's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Crespi 1-0. Nick Kosouk had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Taft.

Royal fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against San Fernando by a score of 2-0 on Monday.

Taft's win bumped their record up to 6-3-5. As for Royal, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12-1.

Taft got the 'W' when the teams last played on December 12th against Royal by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Toreadors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Highlanders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
