Mar Vista's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Hilltop Lancers as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mariners needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Mar Vista pushed their record up to 8-14 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hilltop, they now have a losing record of 12-13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mar Vista is set to face off against their familiar foe Chula Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hilltop will square off against rival Olympian at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
