Volleyball Recap: Alexander's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Alexander waltzed into their match on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Trimble Tomcats 3-0. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Alexander walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-13, 26-24.

Leading Alexander to victory were Abbi Ohms and Ava McCall. Ohms had 11 digs and two aces, while McCall had five digs. Ohms is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

They weren't the only good server: Alexander was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in seven consecutive contests.

Alexander's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Trimble, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Alexander didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Athens on the 11th. As for Trimble, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Federal Hocking on the 11th.
