Basketball Game Preview: Bowie Pirates vs. Rivercrest Rebels

Bowie hasn't had much luck against Rivercrest recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bowie Pirates will be home for the holidays to greet the Rivercrest Rebels at 6:30 p.m. Bowie will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Bowie was fully in charge, breezing past Harts Bluff 52-23. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Rivercrest ended up a good deal behind Harts Bluff on Tuesday and lost 43-27.

Bowie pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.6 points. As for Rivercrest, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-14.
