Basketball Game Preview: Stoneman Douglas Eagles vs. Santaluces Chiefs

The Stoneman Douglas Eagles will take on the Santaluces Chiefs in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Stoneman Douglas will be strutting in after a win while Santaluces will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Stoneman Douglas against West Broward as the team secured a 50-10 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 40 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Santaluces came up short against Cardinal Newman on Friday and fell 44-32. The loss continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now lost five in a row.

Stoneman Douglas' win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Santaluces, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.

Stoneman Douglas took a serious blow against Santaluces when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 68-34. Can Stoneman Douglas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
