Basketball Recap: King's Academy Takes a Loss

King's Academy lost against Calvary Christian back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. King's Academy were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to the Calvary Christian EAGLES.

Despite the loss, King's Academy still got an impressive performance from Gavin Ruberg, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 boards. The contest was Ruberg's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Mikel, who posted 12 points.

King's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Calvary Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

King's Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Horizon Christian at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. King's Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season. Calvary Christian has already played their next game (against Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
