Wylie and Sachse are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but likely not for long. The Wylie Pirates are taking a road trip to square off against the Sachse Mustangs at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wylie will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Wylie's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against South Garland as Wylie made off with a 3-0 win. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Titans are ranked 463rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wylie hit South Garland with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from NICO GURUNLIAN, CRISTIAN AVILES, and OSATO ENABULELE.

Meanwhile, Sachse got the win against Lakeview Centennial on Friday by a conclusive 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Wylie pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three matchups. As for Sachse, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Wylie beat Sachse by a goal when the teams last played back in January, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wylie since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
