Soccer Game Preview: Stoneman Douglas vs. Spanish River

The Stoneman Douglas Eagles will challenge the Spanish River Sharks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stoneman Douglas will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.

Stoneman Douglas is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Western an 8-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Western from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Alexa Jourdan led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Spanish River hadn't done well against Boca Raton recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Spanish River beat Boca Raton by a goal, winning 1-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sharks.

Spanish River has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2-3 record this season. As for Stoneman Douglas, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1-6.
