Basketball Recap: Desert Ridge Jaguars vs. Queen Creek Bulldogs
Desert Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Queen Creek Bulldogs. Queen Creek found their leader in freshman Amaya Rodgers, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. With that strong performance, Rodgers is now averaging an impressive 2 blocks per game. Jessenia Attson was another key player, putting up two points and ten rebounds.
Desert Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Queen Creek, they moved to 6-16 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
